J.J.Wohlfert 's Custom and Standard Trim, located in Fowler, Michigan, specializes in architectural millwork. Since 1985 we have been providing the Mid-Michigan area with quality hardwood molding. In 2002, we launched our Internet store and since that time we have shipped casing, base molding, crown molding and custom wood trim to nearly every state.
Originally, we expected small blocks to be our main online market but were happily surprised by the nationwide need for our quality millwork and historic replication services. JJWohlferts fashions custom knives to create reproduction moldings in nearly any wood type.
Architects and designers send their profiles to us for small and large projects. From mahogany shoe for an historic application to large poplar crown molding for a new hotel, JJWohlferts can fill the order. Our library offers 600+ standard wood trim profiles which can be run in oak, poplar, pine, cherry, maple, and many other species.

Jerry J. Wohlfert, his wife expecting their first child, left his factory job to start JJWohlferts in 1985. Some wondered why he would begin to build a business at that time of personal transition; but Jerry has always followed his convictions.
"Beginning the wood working business was what God wanted me to do," says Jerry. From the beginning of JJWohlferts until now Jerry builds his business because he knows it is God's plan for his life. "Christian Owned and Operated" is printed on JJWohlfert's business cards and catalogs as a remembrance.
Solid Doors & Custom Furniture
Originally called "J.J.Wohfert 's Custom Furniture," many people don't realize that JJWohlferts still offers custom hand-crafted furniture and custom solid-wood interior doors.
JJWohlferts made quality moldings from the start. Many of those first customers still come to visit. They never fail to mention the old days out in the pole barn beside Jerry's country home near Fowler, Michigan; and how things look better each time they return.
It's nice to hear that most of them are still enjoying the millwork they bought back then. We often see them because they need just a little more wood trim. (Now that's enduring hardwood quality. Contrast that with the throw-away trim easily found elsewhere.)
